This is my new boat. This boat hull is is based on the lines of a Lyn Lee. The keel was lengthened, and the sides were altered along the waterline, to help keep the wave slap down. We used a shoe box joint, to join the hull to the deck. I wanted to get rid of the flange joint, that is common on Humboldt scullers. The flange joint tends to separate over time. I also moved the sculling position forward a foot, and added a motor well. I increased the crown in the deck, to help shed waves. and eliminated the combing around the cockpit. That eliminated the harsh shadows that the combing casts. This boat was built with the help, and input from OLD Leonard. It was laid up over a male mold. We each made one. After using this design for a while now, I’m extremely satisfied with the modifications.
